This thermometer alerts
individuals who are blind or have low vision when the meat is an optimal
temperature via voice output. It comes standard with an LCD screen, four audio
alerts, two verbal alerts, low battery indicator, and batteries are included.
The range of the grill alarm is around 300 feet.
Purpose
This grill is to
allows individuals with visual impairments to cook their meat at an appropriate
temperature. Cooking at an appropriate temperature allows for safe eating by
reducing the chances of food poisoning by killing bacteria at a high
temperature. User must have functional use of hands to program the device and
cognitive abilities should be present in order to differentiate alarms and
utilize programming.
Directions
First, program
the type of meat being cooked. Then select how well you want the meat cooked
(ranging from rare to well-done). Then start the process. An alarm will signal
when the food is ready and it will also signal when the food is overcooked.
