THE
FINGER READER (PROTOTYPE)
Description
The Finger Reader is composed of a Bluetooth
headset and a finger worn device. The device on the finger scans barcodes of retail
items and relays product information to the headset. The finger scanner is made
for comfort and is able to fit a variety of hand sizes. The earpiece is
wireless. The devices have small holes that allow for a cord to go through them
and hang from the users neck when they are not using the finger scanner. Some
users may find it difficult to locate the bar code if they have visual
impairments. The task itself may be time consuming. This item is a prototype so
the price has not been set. The item was created by Yanko Design. Their
